THEIR TIME TO SHINE: $0 ADOPTION WEEKEND

This Saturday and Sunday, we are shining the spotlight on some of the incredible animals who are too often overlooked – and thanks to the ASPCA The Rescue Effect campaign, qualifying pets will have $0 adoption fees all weekend long!

WHO QUALIFIES?

– All black cats & dogs

– All special-needs animals

– All senior animals

– All long-term residents

They may be older. They may need a little extra care. They may be unfairly judged. Or maybe they have simply been waiting much longer than they should have. None of that makes them any less deserving of a family.

This weekend is also about challenging the labels and assumptions that can cause great pets to be overlooked. A coat color does not determine personality. Age does not erase the love an animal still has to give. A medical or behavioral need does not make a pet less worthy of a home. And a long shelter stay does not mean there is something wrong with them.

The pet you might have overlooked could be exactly the one you have been looking for.

Completing an adoption application ahead of time can help make the process easier when you arrive. Standard adoption procedures and approval requirements still apply. Qualifying animals met during the event but scheduled for adoption at a later date will still be eligible for the waived adoption fee.
