HSSC honors this vitally important day. Today focuses on drawing attention to the millions of stray, lost, and abandoned animals that pass through animal shelters every year.

Since 1964, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County has been dedicated to its mission: prevent cruelty to animals, relieve suffering among animals, and extend humane education. HSSC is Sheboygan County’s only open admissions shelter and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and shelter serving 2,500+ homeless animals every year.
