The Humane Society of Sheboygan County is incredibly excited and honored to have been the recipient of Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year award last night at the annual Chamber Champions Gala.
The hard work, dedication, and generosity of our staff, volunteers, board of directors, and community have and continue to make all that we do possible. This award is a reflection of the amazing community that makes up the Humane Society and its supporters.

The award comes as a bright start to 2022 and an indication of exciting things to come, like the opening of our new Carol Hollfelder Animal Shelter in April. We look forward to welcoming the community into our new facility and offering exciting and educational programs in the future in addition to serving the pets in our area. Last year, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County increased their services and programs offered and served 4,324 animals in the surrounding community, compared to 1,972 animals in 2020. The new shelter will allow for an even greater increase of 400-500 additional animals rescued from high-kill and overpopulated shelters across the country.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and those honored at the Chamber Champions Gala. We are honored to win Nonprofit of the Year and look forward to what 2022 will bring our organization and the pets we serve! Click here to see a list of all the winners.
