Volunteer of the Month – June
Kate Erin’s work with the Humane Society of Sheboygan County began 20 years ago when she needed to fill some mandatory volunteer hours, and she was instantly hooked. Not only did she meet the hours she needed, but she also surpassed them. Fifteen years later, there is still no end in sight for her giving personality and compassionate nature.
Kate’s time with us has allowed her to give time and energy to animal welfare – a cause close to her heart. She has even been lucky enough to find a four-legged best friend here at the Humane Society who she refers to as “the best companion she has ever had.”
What Kate enjoys most about her volunteer position is the joy she is able to bring to our furry friends, and the families she helps to unite them with. Some of her favorite roles are bringing her community and local businesses together to support the shelter’s cause.
In the future, Kate hopes to remain associated with the Humane Society of Sheboygan County as long as physically possible. She wishes to “always be a part of the Humane Society of Sheboygan County” and to give time and energy to the animals who need it most.
The staff and furry friends here at the Humane Society of Sheboygan County thank you, for the time and effort you have devoted to our cause!
